The Northern Echo has suggested Newcastle United official Lee Charnley doesn't know when a next manager will be appointed.
The Northern Echo has reported that the appointment of a new manager at Newcastle United is not imminent.
The first team squad is currently away in Dubai for warm weather training ahead of the club’s return to Premier League action at the end of the month.
The Echo suggests that the club’s managing director Lee Charnley is relaxed about the current situation, but is undecided over whether an appointment will happen before the end of the month.
Current caretaker boss John Carver told the Echo yesterday that ideally, he wanted everything in place for a new manager to be announced by the time the team gets back to England, but that now seems unlikely.
It also seems unlikely that any new manager coming in will be able to utilise the current transfer window to improve the squad, which could give the side a boost over the second half of the season.
