Reports in Spain suggest that 'several' Premier League clubs have joined the chase for Tottenham Hotspur-linked Federico Cartabia.

Valencia-based publication Superdeporte reports that Premier League interest is mounting in highly-rated midfielder Federico Cartabia.

The 22-year-old winger has already been linked with Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window by El Gol Digital.

It would appear that they are not the only ones to have been impressed by the diminutive forward, with the scramble for his signature seemingly set to intensify.

According to Superdeporte, ‘several’ clubs from the English top-flight are considering an approach for a man currently on loan at Cordoba.

He is owned by Valencia and is tied to a contract until 2017 with his parent club.

They were, however, prepared to let him look elsewhere for game time last summer, and he has embraced a regular run in La Liga.

Cartabia has shown himself to be a creative wide man with a keen eye for goal, and those attributes will be welcomed at any club.

He has netted three times among Spain’s elite this season and provided a further five assists.

Cordoba are believed to have negotiated an option to purchase the youngster at the end of the season, but formal offers during the current window could tempt Valencia to do business.
