Crystal Palace are keeping close tabs on Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar, according to the Daily Mirror.
Babacar, 21, has netted six goals in 15 total appearances for Fiorentina this season, having been tasked with leading the line due to the on-going fitness issues of Mario Gomez and Giuseppe Rossi, and Calciomercato.it have since claimed that AC Milan, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are all tracking his progress.
The former Senegal Under-20 international has himself dealt with hamstring problems in recent weeks which saw him miss a chunk of the action, but returned as a 66th-minute substitute for the weekend’s 2-1 win at Chievo.
Palace scouts were understood to have been in attendance at the match to see him in action, and would have left the match impressed after witnessing his 90th-minute headed finish to seal the three points.
Italian football website Tuttomercatoweb.com have claimed, however, that Fiorentina would be unwilling to sell their star front man this month, and Palace will have to wait until the summer to have a chance of landing his signature.
Manager Alan Pardew remains keen to add two more forwards to his squad in the current transfer window following the recent loan signing of Arsenal's Yaya Sanogo, with the Daily Mirror adding that Blackburn Rovers target man Rudy Gestede looks set to arrive at Selhurst Park some time this week.
