Celtic are reportedly renewing interested in Stuart Armstrong.
The attacker is highly rated, with the BBC reporting Celtic boss Ronny Deila as comparing his playing style to that of Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller.
The 22-year-old has a contract at United until 2016, and the Record state Celtic are interested in making a £2.5 million bid.
He would become the second Dundee United star to move to Parkhead, with Celtic agreeing to sign Gary Mackay-Steven on a pre-contract deal at the end of the season.
Armstrong has been in excellent form this season, scoring five goals and providing six assists in 18 games.
He could become a potential replacement for Kris Commons, whose contract at Celtic expires at the end of the current season.
Armstrong is far younger than Commons and is a better investment in the long-term, with the Dundee United ace on the verge of the Scotland international set up, previously a regular for the under-21s.
Dundee United are however just one place below Celtic in the Scottish Premier League table, four points behind, and are likely to be reluctant to want to lose such a key part of their present squad, and future, to a club they are not presently far off competing with.
