Shakhtar Donetsk forward Luiz Adriano has revealed his desire to stay in Ukraine, according to talkSport.
The forward has been in inspired form this season for Shakhtar, scoring nine goals in five appearances in the Champions League alone.
That has reportedly brought attention from the Premier League, with both Arsenal and Liverpool both being credited with a strong interest in the Brazilian’s signature, according to the Express, which also believes a number of other clubs have had him scouted extensively.
However, Adriano has now revealed that he is more than happy to stay in the Ukraine, despite that reported interest from the Premier League.
"Will I get a transfer? Nothing has arrived, apart from the interest from Roma," Adriano is reported by talkSPORT to have told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Shakhtar will decide what's best, it would be nice to have a new challenge, but it would be even nicer to stay in Ukraine, at the club that I love."
Liverpool may well be looking for another striker as they seek to replace the goals of Luis Suarez and take the goal scoring burden off Daniel Sturridge.
The England forward has been absent for most of the season and his replacements; Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert have so far failed to fill the goal-scoring mantle.
