Tottenham Hotspur's DeAndre Yedlin was pictured in training with Christian Eriksen today, as the side stepped up their preparations for the League Cup semi-final against Sheffield United.
Spurs take on the Blades as heavy favourites to reach the final of the competition, but they will be determined to avoid complacency in the fixture.
United are a League One side, but they have had a habit of shocking Premier League opposition in recent years and Spurs will want to avoid being on the end of an upset.
As a result, manager Mauricio Pochettino is expected to name a strong line-up for the fixture, but Yedlin could still be in with a chance of getting his debut.
With Kyle Walker still in the early stages of coming back from injury, Kyle Naughton set to join Swansea City according to the Daily Mail and Eric Dier more accustomed a centre-back, Pochettino has fewer options to select a right-back.
Although Walker remains the more likely starter in a game of such magnitude, Pochettino is still having to operate with caution so not to burn the England international out.
And, as a result, Yedlin's chances of breaking into the starting line-up look considerably improved.
Considering the club have sanctioned a deal to allow Naughton to leave they have obviously been reasonably impressed by the American speedster, and he will be hopeful of getting on the pitch to show the White Hart Lane crowd what he can do.
It would be a big risk for Pochettino to take, but the chance to break Yedlin in against a lower standard of opposition that Spurs play week-in week-out could be too appealing a chance to miss for the Argentine boss.
