Manchester United transfer round-up: Fan favourite wanted in Spain; Dybala latest

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher is reportedly a target for Spanish side Valencia according to the Herald.

The Scottish international has already been linked with the likes of West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United by the London Evening Standard, but now it seems the La Liga side are also keen on a player whose first-team prospects have been limited this season.

Fletcher is a fan favourite at Old Trafford but with the likes of Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera ahead of him in the pecking order his future could well be away from United.

In other news, reported United target Paulo Dybala is likely to leave his current club Palermo in the summer according to the Manchester Evening News.

The newspaper has published quotes from the player’s club president Maurizio Zamparini, where he said, “This week we will sign the renewal for another three-year contract.

“If in the coming months will continue to play so well then will come a great club to take it. Where I see? Abroad. In the order I would say England, France, Germany and Spain.”

The young Argentine is enjoying a fine spell this season and there is no doubt he would be a huge coup for United if they could ultimately bring him to Old Trafford.
