Everton are currently four points above the relegation zone in 12th place.
Everton defender John Stones doesn't appear to be worried about the side's league position, with the side now only four points above the relegation zone after a frustrating 0-0 draw for the Toffees at home to West Bromwich Albion last night.
The Blues are enduring an alarming run of form which has seen them win just one of their last 10 league games and in 12th position in the Premier League, but if this run continues they run the risk of getting themselves into a serious relegation battle.
Stones told the Liverpool Echo: “We are just focused on the next game and the game after that. We are just taking each game as it comes.
"We never look at the table or focus on that. We are always talking between ourselves on how we are playing and how we can improve, we have just got to keep going in the same direction and keep playing with the passion we showed tonight and in the last few games.”
The next game for Everton is another crucial one away to Crystal Palace. If they were to lose at Selhurst Park it would set up a huge Merseyside derby match against Liverpool at Goodison Park for Roberto Martinez's side as they look to rescue their sorry looking season so far, but a victory over Palace would give them some sort of breathing space over those fighting to avoid the drop.
The Everton side may not be taking too much notice of the table right now but they need to get a positive result and soon. Their exit from the FA Cup could prove to be a blessing as it affords them a break, and a chance to focus on some big matches ahead for the side.
