Despite being dead for several hours the man went unnoticed until a staff member found him.
Emergency services were called, and Hsieh was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead due to cardiac failure.
The Police say they believe Hsieh probably died several hours before the employee discovered him, because of how stiff his corpse was.
Police spokesperson Jennifer Wu claims that other gamers sitting in the cafe were oblivious to everything going on, even when the paramedics arrived.
Speaking to CCN, Wu said, "The CCTV footage from the internet cafe showed that Hsieh had a small struggle before he collapsed motionless."
Long hours spent playing and the cold temperatures are said to be likely causes for Hsieh's cardiac arrest, a police statement read.
Hsieh was said to be a "regular customer" at the cafe, often playing for consecutive days, according to the Taipei Times.
"When tired, he would sleep face down on the table or doze off slumped in his chair," the staff member was quoted as saying.
"That is why we were not aware of his condition in the beginning."
This is the second death to happen in 2015 - a 38 year-old man died on 1st January in an internet cafe in Taipei, after playing video games for fives days, reports claim.
