Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has been speaking in glowing terms about his Gunners teammate Santi Cazorla in an interview with the club’s official website.
The Spanish midfielder scored Arsenal’s first goal against Manchester City on Sunday, with Arsene Wenger’s side ultimately winning 2-0 against the reigning Premier League champions.
It was a result that proved to any remaining doubters that Arsenal can compete with the best in England and it is sure to give the Gunners plenty of confidence in the second half of the campaign.
While the result owed much to the efforts of the entire Arsenal team, Cazorla was particularly impressive, and Ramsey told Arsenal.com, “Santi’s a little magician on the pitch.
“You saw him out there so many times, how he wriggles out of certain situations, and he had a very good game.”
Cazorla has already made 31 appearances for Arsenal this season, scoring six goals and providing eight assists in that time, but it is his recent form that has particularly caught the eye.
The Spaniard has netted five goals and set up a further three in his last eight league appearances and it is the kind of form Wenger will be hoping continues at the business-end of a campaign that still promises much for the Gunners.
