West Ham United returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Sunday when they eased past Hull City at home.
The Hammers scored no fewer than three goals without conceding any at the Boleyn Ground to rejuvenate their chances of a top-four finish.
All three of West Ham’s goals in the 3-0 win against the Tigers came in the second half. Andy Carroll broke the deadlock in the 49th minute, Morgan Amalfitano doubled the lead on 69 minutes, and Stewart Downing wrapped up the scoring just minutes later.
The result means that Sam Allardyce’s side are now seventh in the Premier League table with 36 points from 22 matches, just four points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.
Meanwhile, pressure is increasing on Hull manager Steve Bruce following the defeat to West Ham. The Tigers are currently third from bottom with 19 points from 22 matches.
