Allan Jankowski reveals Cardiff and Swansea transfer interest

RC Lens youngster Allan Jankowski has reportedly been approached by Cardiff, Swansea and Birmingham.

A promising defender, Jankowski could soon be swapping his homeland for English football in the coming weeks, having spoken of a potential transfer to But Football Club.

The 19-year-old has yet to make his full debut for the French side, although he has turned out frequently for their reserve team.

Highly rated in the youth system of the Ligue 1 side, it is expected that the Frenchman will receive a full-time contract in the coming months, but he revealed that he has been approached by a selection of various other clubs who are keen on securing his services for a nominal fee.

Speaking to But Football Club, the youngster revealed interest from Belgian sides Genk and Lokeren as well as Premier League side Swansea City, and Championship rivals Cardiff and Birmingham.

He commented on the interest from abroad in an interview where he revealed that he had also been approached by the Polish football federation to represent their Under-21 side, choosing them ahead of France.

“I was approached by the technical staff of the Polish team,” the youngster said. “They supervised me invited me to join the selection of age 21.

“As did the Belgian clubs Genk and Lokeren and English clubs in Birmingham, Cardiff and Swansea.”

At the age of just 19-years-old, it would likely be a signing for the future if Jankowski was to head to the Premier League or Championship ahead of staying in the Lens youth side. However, with a bright career in front of him, the three sides tracking his availably could secure a promising youngster for a minisucle fee due to still having yet to sign a full-time professional contract with Les Sang et Or.
