West Ham fans react on Twitter to Morgan Amalfitano's performance against Hull

West Ham United fans were full of praise for Morgan Amalfitano's display against Hull City today.

West Ham United ended their four game winless run in the Premier League with a convincing 3-0 victory over Hull City at Upton Park.

Hull were the better side in the opening 45 minutes, with Sone Aluko causing no end of problems for the West Ham defence, but Andy Carroll latched on to a fumble from Tigers goalkeeper Allan McGregor to tap the ball into the net.

Then came the big turning point. Just after the hour mark, Hammers boss Sam Allardyce withdrew cautioned midfielder Mark Noble, and threw on the more creative Morgan Amalfitano.

The Frenchman had an instant impact, dinking home a delightful goal just three minutes into his cameo, before Stewart Downing wrapped up the point with a third goal.

Amalfitano stole the show though, with fans wondering why he doesn't start on a more regular basis having had a number of impressive displays this term.

With three goals and one assist this season, the 29-year-old is building a decent reputation in Claret and Blue, with fans now hoping that the former West Brom man will sign a new contract given that he's only on a one-year deal.
