Vertonghen, Eriksen and more react on Twitter to Tottenham's win over Sunderland

The Tottenham Hotspur stars took to social media after yet another late Premier League win.

Goalscorers Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen led the celebrations on Twitter after Tottenham beat Sunderland 2-1 at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.

The north London side left it late yet again, however, and it was Dane Eriksen yet again that netted their last-gasp winner.

Centre-back Vertonghen's deflected first-half strike gave Spurs the lead against Gus Poyet's Sunderland side, before the same defender then committed a clumsy foul (to say the least) on former Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe.

Sunderland's Sebastian Larsson then made the home side pay, curling a typically beautiful free kick past goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

But Eriksen, latching onto substitute Andros Townsend's cross late on, fired home to give Mauricio Pochettino's side all three points and send Sunderland back to Wearside empty handed..

The 22-year-old expressed his joy - and perhaps relief - on social media after the game, with fellow scorer Vertonghen joining him.

Harry Kane also had a message for fans, while the injured Erik Lamela tweeted too...
