The Independent have claimed that his paperwork was not lodged by Friday afternoon’s deadline and he won’t play today.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed on Friday that Polish starlet Krystian Bielik was joining the club from Legia Warsaw, with a lot of hype surrounding the 17-year-old midfielder.
Such is the teenager’s promise, The Mirror claimed yesterday that the eastern European youngster was set to be included in the Gunners’ first-team squad for today’s blockbuster clash against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
However, ahead of the clash this afternoon, The Independent have stated this morning that Bielik will have to watch on from the sidelines as he was not registered in time to play, with the North London outfit missing Friday afternoon’s deadline.
As such it appears that Gunners fans will have to wait until next weekend’s FA cup tie against Brighton or the following weekend’s clash against Aston Villa to get a glimpse of the youngster in action.
Legia Warsaw manager and former Manchester United defender Henning Berg recently stated that Bielik was too inexperienced for Premier League football and it remains to be seen just how much action he will get in his first six months with the club.
