The 32-year-old was many Queens Park Rangers fans' pick for man of the match against Louis van Gaal's side.
And so the misery continues for QPR. Yet another loss - crucially, the west London side are now four games in all competitions without a win at Loftus Road - will no doubt spark yet more talk of Harry Redknapp getting the sack.
But the nature of the R's' performance has given players and fans alike hope going forward.
Manchester United may have beaten QPR 2-0 in the capital yesterday afternoon but they were flat for large parts of the game. Had Redknapp's men taken their chances, it could have been very different.
Midfielder Karl Henry, meanwhile, was full of confidence on Twitter after the game despite the 2-0 scoreline.
Shame about the result today but if we play like that for the rest of the season we will be ok. That means away games too. #QPR— Karl Henry (@karlhenry08) January 17, 2015
And it was the 32-year-old that many QPR fans were delighted with most after the Manchester United clash, as the veteran midfielder delivered another encouraging performance for the west London side against Louis van Gaal's men.
Henry can now one day tell his grandchildren that he rubbed shoulders with Angel Di Maria, one of the best players in the world, and made him look average (although Van Gaal's tactics certainly contributed heavily to that feat).
Whether there is indeed hope for QPR after their Manchester United loss remains to be seen - it's always a case of next week we'll make it count, with next week never coming under Redknapp. But, for now, many R's fans can bask in a man-of-the-match performance from their central midfielder - and against Manchester United no less.
Here, then, is some of the best Twitter reaction to Henry's performance!
