The Tottenham legend believes Spurs can conquer the competition this season.
Tottenham Hotspur defeated Sunderland yesterday as Mauricio Pochettino attempts to take the team into Champions League football once again.
One man who was watching the game was Tottenham legend Ledley King. The 'cartilage free captain' was a one club man, playing for Tottenham from 1999-2012 despite a litany of injury problems.
The 34-year-old is now a club ambassador and youth coach, however yesterday he played the role of commentator for Tottenham Hotspur TV. During the half-time break he held an impromptu question and answer session with the Tottenham fans on Twitter.
One of the questions that came in was whether Tottenham could win the European competition they are currently competing in, the Europa League. King certainly thinks so:
Tottenham came through their Europa League group against Besiktas, Asteras Tripolis and Partizan Belgrade - even if they did not set hearts alight with their performances.
Now they face Italian side Fiorentina, who have a good record in the competition. But King is confident his beloved Spurs can go all the way this term.
