The former Monaco and Borussia Dortmund striker believes the Lille frontman will be a star in England.
One of Liverpool's strikers has come in for high praise and received massive support from a striker who certainly knows a thing or two about the game.
But the striker in question is not currently at Liverpool.
The player is of course Divock Origi, the young Belgian currently on loan at Lille. He has received plenty of backing from former Czech international Jan Koller. The former Monaco and Borussia Dortmund striker stated, as quoted by Voetbal Nieuws:
"As a youth coach at AS Monaco, I follow the Ligue 1.
"Of course I have also noticed Origi. He is fast, technically a phenomenon and both plays the lines very well.. He gets criticised in France criticized he scores few, but that is mainly due to the poor supply.
"He's in a dip, but that is just good for his development. When he comes here, he's finally ready for Liverpool. Some analysts say that he weighs too little and his body is wrong for the Premier League, but that's nonsense. Just look at Daniel Sturridge."
The words of Koller will likely please Origi. The Czech striker scored goals wherever he played. He netted 55 tomes in 91 games for the Czech Republic and was also a big hit at the likes of Anderlecht, Borussia Dortmund and Cannes.
But he too had his barren spells in front of goal, so his backing should be a real pick me up for the struggling teenager.
He signed for Liverpool after a successful World Cup in the summer, but was immediately loaned back to Lille to continue his development.
He has scored just four goals this season for Lille and has not found the net since October. However Koller believes he is perfectly ready for Liverpool.
