The Ecuador international scored in the 90th minute to give the Barcelona-based outfit three points against Celta Vigo.

Felipe Caicedo’s time in England seems like a faded memory given Manchester City’s recent title success since he left the club.

The Ecuador international has since moved on to modest La Liga outfit Espanyol and has been in good form of late.

The 26-year-old netted a 90th minute winner yesterday for his side, securing three points in a 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo as can be seen below.

The strike follows on from Caicedo netting both of Espanyol’s goals in a 2-0 midweek win over Valencia in the Copa del Rey.

The South American also scored his side’s goal in a 2-1 defeat to Eibar in the first La Liga match of 2015.

Yesterday’s result lifts Espanyol to ninth in the La Liga table and it appears that Caicedo is more important to the Spanish side than he ever was at City, where he only scored eight Premier League goals in three forgettable years.
