Derby will host Forest at the iPro Stadium in the Championship and will head into the lunchtime kickoff as favourites.
Steve McClaren’s side are currently second in the league table with 48 points from 25 matches, level on points with leaders Bournemouth but with a goal difference inferior to the Cherries.
Meanwhile, Forest currently find themselves as low as 13th in the Championship standings with 31 points from 25 matches and are on a four-game losing streak in all competitions.
Hosts Derby will be backed by many football followers to win today, but Bamford, who is currently on loan at Middlesbrough from Chelsea, hopes that Forest pick up all three points.
@Lascelles16 any chance of you boys doing us a favour tomorrow goal from you would be nice— Patrick Bamford (@Patrick_Bamford) January 16, 2015
Bamford is a former Forest player, and although he did play on loan at Derby in 2014, one can understand why he wants Lascelles to score and Stuart Pearce’s side to win today.
Like Derby, Middlesbrough are having a very good season and are in the running for automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Aitor Karanka’s side will head into this weekend’s round of matches placed fourth in the Championship table with 44 points from 25 matches.
A loss for Derby against Forest and a win for Middlesbrough against Huddersfield Town at home today will see Karanka’s team close the gap on the top two and enhance their chances of automatic promotion to the English top flight.
