Michael Owen has backed Manchester City to win against Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday on Betvictor.com.
The former Manchester United and Liverpool striker believes that defending English champions City will have too much for the North London outfit at the Etihad Stadium.
“City are unbeaten in their last dozen PL games and I can’t see it being unlucky 13 when Arsenal visit the Emirates on Sunday,” the 35-year-old wrote on Betvictor.com.
“The Gunners remain a team who look good against all but the very best and the Champions are likely to have some of their key players available for the game.”
Many football followers will agree with Owen’s prediction, and indeed City will be favourites to win against Arsenal on Sunday.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side headed into this weekend’s round of matches in the Premier League just two points behind leaders Chelsea, while the Gunners are not even guaranteed of a top-four finish.
City are very strong at home, and with striker Sergio Aguero and defender Vincent Kompany likely to start against Arsenal, the Citizens will be a force to be reckoned with.
Arsenal’s chances of winning in Manchester are slim, but Arsene Wenger’s side can certainly pick up a point.
If the North London outfit can score an early goal and Alexis Sanchez has a great game, then they could just hold City to a draw.
