The Croatia international’s representative has admitted the midfielder would relish a switch to North London.
However, the Gunners have also been heavily linked with a move for Dinamo Zagreb’s Marcelo Brozovic of late as the Emirates Stadium side look to add options in the centre of the park.
The 22-year-old is a rising star in Croatian football and broke into the national set-up last year, winning six caps and scoring one goal for the senior side.
Brozovic’s agent has confirmed that the Gunners are interested in the midfielder, and stated his client would relish the opportunity to move to the Emirates Stadium.
"We are talking to several clubs, although there is nothing concrete at this moment," Miroslav Bicanic told Goal.com.
"We know of Arsenal's interest, but there is nothing agreed. At this moment Marcelo is with Dinamo and everything depends on Dinamo.
"They have to agree a price with a club and then we can hold talks.
"Of course Marcelo would be interested in playing in the Premier League with a club such as Arsenal.
"We hope he can change clubs and come to England as it is one of the best leagues in the world, but the decision depends on Dinamo.”
Brozovic was a star for a talented Croatia under-21 side for a number of years and has nailed down a regular place in Dinamo’s midfield since signing for the club in 2012.
Arsenal travel to take on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this weekend, with Arsene Wenger still having injury worries in the centre of his midfield.
