Confirmed: Swansea City and Chelsea line-ups

Swansea Liberty Stadium

Here is how Swansea City and Chelsea will line up for this afternoon’s match:

Swansea starting XI: Fabianski, Tiendalli, Fernandez, Williams, Taylor, Carroll, Sigurdsson, Dyer, Oliveira, Routledge, Gomis

Swansea subs: Tremmel, Rangel, Amat, Bartley, Fulton, Emnes, Barrow

Chelsea starting XI: Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Filipe Luis, Matic, Fabregas, Willian, Oscar, Hazard, Costa

Chelsea subs: Courtois, Zouma, Mikel, Ramires, Schurrle, Salah, Remy

Swansea City welcome Chelsea to the Liberty Stadium this afternoon with Garry Monk’s side looking to further strengthen their position in the top half of the table.

The Swans are currently ninth in the Premier League, with 30 points from 21 matches, while Chelsea are top of the pile with 49 points to date.

Jose Mourinho’s side saw a slight gap appear between them and second-placed Manchester City last weekend but they will know any slip-up could see the reigning champions take advantage.

Chelsea are unbeaten in all of their previous Premier League encounters with today’s opponents, but Swansea are adept at holding the Blues to draws and that result would surprise few today.

Without a win in the league since Boxing Day, this would be the perfect chance for Swansea to turn their form round, but it will be easier said than done.
