Tottenham Hotspur have shown their ability in patches so far this season.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Benjamin Stambouli has made an ambitious statement to the club's official site, saying that they have the potential to beat anybody in the Premier League if they play their best.
Spurs have shown their ability in patches this season - with their 5-3 win over Chelsea particularly memorable - and Stambouli has clearly gained confidence from that result.
The Frenchman, who signed for Spurs for a fee the Daily Mail reported to be £4.7 million this summer, believes that his teammates are a match for anybody else in the league and he feels that they are in a good position to play to their optimum level at the moment.
“As long as everyone is on their game we can beat anyone," he defiantly stated. “At the moment we have good morale and we feel we can beat anyone. We saw that against Chelsea."
Stambouli has made a rather slow start to his Spurs career, but statements like this are sure to endear himself to the club's supporters.
Tottenham have made great strides forward in recent times, but they will need to bounce back from the set-back of losing to Crystal Palace.
The Lilywhites face a fixture against Sunderland at White Hart Lane and if they are able to pick up the three points they could return to the top four.
