The Atomic Ant's agent has confirmed he is going nowhere ... yet.
The Metro reported a week ago that Tottenham were keen on the diminutive forward. They stated that Spurs had been interested for a while and with his deal expiring in the summer, this January looked like the perfect opportunity to snap up the 27-year-old at a massive reduction.
But his agent says that Giovinco is going absolutely nowhere in the winter.
Andrea D'Amico told Italian radio station Radio24, as quoted by The Express:
"Sebastian is a Juventus player. In this transfer window he will not move then in June we will see."
So it looks as though the Juventus star has given himself until the summer to decide on his future. As a free agent he will also have more bargaining power in the deal and there will surely be a queue of clubs waiting to snap him up.
Unless Juventus decide to give him a new deal. After his heroics in the Italian Cup tie last night, where Giovinco scored twice and won a penalty, Juventus boss Max Allegri told the press, as reported by Goal:
"Giovinco has never been up for sale. There's always plenty of talk, but he's never expressed a desire to leave."
So expect this rumour to rumble on into the summer.
