Leeds United can now move for Sol Bamba, with Palermo looking for his replacement.
TMW have indicated that Palermo are looking to make a move for Sao Paulo defender Rafael Toloi as a replacement for Sol Bamba.
Ivorian international Bamba has been linked with a switch to Championship side Leeds United by the same media outlet in recent days, and the Whites could now look to make an official move for the 30-year-old with the Rosanero actively looking to strengthen in his absence.
Toloi, a former Brazilian youth international, spent the second half of last season on loan with fellow Serie A club Roma, making five league appearances for the Italian giants. The report suggests that Palermo see the 24-year-old as a long-term successor at central defence, and are keen to secure his services on loan in January, with an option to make the move permanent when the loan comes to an end.
Bamba could be just one of two central defenders leaving Palermo in the coming months, with Ezequiel Munoz linked by TMW with a move to Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur. Although Munoz is more likely to leave in the summer when his contract expires, Bamba is expected to depart in January, and Leeds could look to take advantage now that they know Palermo have already started to search for his replacement.
