Arsenal hope to have Jack Wilshere return to first team training in two weeks, report The Telegraph.
The paper do not go into great detail, but state: "Jack Wilshere, who has been out since November, is expected to start full training inside two weeks."
It would still take another two weeks potentially to get Wilshere up to match fitness, but if they were able to get him back in action by mid-February it would be a major boost.
Arsenal are reeling from the news Mikel Arteta will be out of action for three months, having undergone surgery on his ankle, the club confirmed.
If the report is accurate and Wilshere stays on schedule, he could be in line to feature in the first leg of the Champions League clash against Monaco on February 26.
The North London derby against Tottenham on February 7 may still be too much of an ask for him to be back for however.
Wilshere posted a video on his Instagram page this week taking a penalty in a kids training session, and was not wearing a protective boot of any kind.
