Manchester City media round-up: Pellegrini facing huge decision at start of February

A round up of news stories this morning related to Manchester City.

The Daily Mail claims Manchester City must decide whether Wilfried Bony makes their Champions League squad by February 3.

The problem, as the paper describes it, is that a player would either have to be dropped or sold to make way for the £28 million arrival from Swansea City.

The reported deadline comes three weeks before City are due to face Barcelona in the Champions League.

Jamie Redknapp has told the Daily Mail that he feels Sergio Aguero is a much more economical player than Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez.

Redknapp, along with former Arsenal defender Martin Keown, were asked to give their opinions in the duo by the newspaper.

“Sanchez is perpetual motion and does not stop running whereas Aguero is much more economical. He is a predator,” said Redknapp.

Yaya Toure has told FourFourTwo that he thinks Bony is going to be a brilliant signing for the club.

The Ivory Coast midfielder, away preparing for the African Cup of Nations, has piled the praise onto his new teammate.

“He's a good player and I think he's going to be a brilliant player for the club,” said Toure.

The pair are Ivory Coast teammates so Toure will be well placed to offer him an early insight into his new club side.
