The "player's experience" wins over 60 frames per second say Naughty Dog.
Last month's demo of the game at PlayStation Experience was locked at 30fps, but Straley said they do have the game running "above 30" fps.
Straley says, ""We're actually above 30, but we locked it [for the demo].
"We're going to do whatever it takes to make the game we want to make. If it means we could go for 60 but lose something that would really impact the player's experience, then it's our choice as developers to say, 'Well, we're going to go for the experience over the 60 frames.'"
A debug station visible on the floor showed that the game was running at 37fps, EDGE said.
Last year a PlayStation blog post from Naughty Dog's Eric Monacelli revealed the studio were "targeting 60fps for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End."
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is due for release on PS4 some time later in 2015.
