Report: West Brom want £4m-priced Vedran Corluka

West Brom

West Bromwich Albion are keen on former Tottenham Hotspur man Vedran Corluka, according to the latest reports.

The Daily Mail reports that West Bromwich Albion are considering signing Vedran Corluka from Lokomotiv Moscow.

The paper believes that the experienced defender has emerged as a potential target for Tony Pulis, as he looks to strengthen his team during the January transfer window.

Pulis is said to have funds at his disposal and is likely to be seeking defensive recruits to help his team in their battle for survival in the Premier League.

Corluka would be a well-known addition to fans of the Baggies, due to his time at Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur earlier in his career.

The Croatian international played 156 times in England during his five-year stay in the country between the years of 2007 and 2012 at the two clubs.

It means that he should have no struggles adapting to the Premier League and that is sure to be something which makes his signing more appealing to Pulis.

West Brom don't have time to allow any new additions to adjust to the pace of the league and they will need anybody they do bring in to hit the ground running.

Corluka is still only 28 years of age and his size and power makes him a natural fit for a Pulis side.
