Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Simone Zaza.

Tottenham Hotspur are linked with signing Italian forward Simone Zaza, report

The 23-year-old is 11th placed Sassuolo's top Serie A scorer this season with seven goals, and has recently been capped by Italy, played three times and scoring once.

The report states: "The striker is starting to have suitors abroad, in fact today Sassuolo's director John Carnevali spoke to Tottenham's representatives about Zaza."

There is however a threat from Serie A champions Juventus. The Turin side have an option to sign Zaza for €15 million this summer, and €18 million in 2016.

Zaza is certainly a player of a combative nature, picking up 15 yellow cards over the past one and a half seasons.

He was called into the Italian international side this September, replacing Mario Balotelli who was dropped.

In terms of style, Zaza is not a striker who likes to stand still and wait for the ball to be delivered to him. He is always moving and leads the defence from the front in a similar way to Carlos Tevez.

This often translates into a negative with Zaza conceding on average three fouls per game this season, the most of any Sassuolo player.
