The London Evening Standard claims Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sell Aaron Lennon before the end of the current transfer window.
The paper claims that the club want to get a deal done before the winger enters the final year of his contract, because they don’t want to see him walk away for nothing.
Stoke are thought to be leading the clubs interested in him (Crystal Palace, Sunderland and Hull City also mentioned) with Tottenham holding out for a fee in the region of £7 million.
With Tottenham facing a high number of fixtures over the rest of the season, there is going to be pressure on the boss to bring in extra players if any experienced first team stars do complete moves away.
All players are ambitious and want to be playing and with Lennon having struggled so far this season to get regular game time under Mauricio Pochettino (three Premier League starts so far) he could see the beauty in an exit.
The fact he didn’t even make the bench for the FA Cup replay is a further indication of his current squad status, which creates the current dilemma for the 27-year-old.
