Report: Karanka won't panic in search to replace Tottenham youngster Veljkovic

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Milos Veljkovic won't be heading back to Middlesbrough on loan.

The Northern Echo has reported that Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka will take his time as he looks to replace Tottenham Hotspur star Milos Veljkovic.

Veljkovic was allowed to return to Spurs after a three-month loan spell, where he showed impressive potential for the Championship challengers in a variety of positions.

There was speculation that a long term injury to Middlesbrough star Rhys Williams could have seen Veljkovic retained at the club, but the manager has decided against extending the original loan agreement with Spurs.

He played four times for ‘Boro’ and the paper suggests that Karanka will use all of the time available to him to try and find someone who was as versatile as the Tottenham Hotspur youngster.

From Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino’s point of view, he may be slightly disappointed that Veljkovic isn’t staying with Middlesbrough, but Spurs have the opportunity to send him to another club where he could get more game time than as the case in the North East.
