Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw is making sure his muscles are primed and ready for the QPR clash on Saturday.

Luke Shaw is taking no chances with his muscles ahead of a must-win game for Manchester United away at Queens Park Rangers this weekend. The world's most expensive teenager posted a snap on his official Instagram account of himself enduring the torture of an ice bath.

The freezing cold treatment might seem like madness but it's a tried and tested methods for professional athletes and sportspeople who need their muscles to recover quickly after physical activity.

It's good to see the former Saints man taking such precautionary measures, especially considering the fact that the Manchester United defender has already missed a good chunk of the new season with niggling injuries.

Shaw also issued a rally cry to his club, urging them to get back to winning ways against Harry Redknapp's relegation-threatened side on Saturday.

He wrote: "Ice bath after a tough training session preparing for Saturday's game!! Let's get back on the winning run #MUFC."

Having lost to Southampton and only drawn at Stoke and Spurs, Manchester United fans will be desperate to see the club end their streak of three Premier League games without a win at Loftus Road.
