International goalkeeper reacts to Liverpool transfer speculation

On Wednesday night, Liverpool were linked with a move to sign Club Brugge goalkeeper Mathew Ryan, as manager Brendan Rodgers looks to find a replacement for Simon Mignolet.

Ryan, 22, has established himself as Australia's first choice stopper since the reitrement of Mark Schwarzer, and The Guardian suggested that he was on Liverpool's radar - and Ryan said it's flattering to be linked with the Reds.

"It's pretty hard to ignore something like that," he said. "Obviously it's nice to be associated with a club like that [Liverpool], if it's meant to be I guess it'll happen in the future."

Ibe recalled as Rodgers seeks attacking threat

Former Wycombe winger Jordon Ibe has only made three first team appearances for Liverpool, but his fine form on loan for Derby County has seen the 19-year-old recalled by the Reds.

With five goals and an assist in 20 league appearances for the Rams, Ibe has been a key part of Steve McClaren's Derby side - leading Rodgers to bring him back to Anfield, as a press release read on the Liverpool official website.

Rodgers confirms interest in recalling Origi

Ibe may not be alone in returning to Merseyside from a loan deal, as manager Rodgers told a press conference today that he is interested in bringing Divock Origi back from his stay at Lille, as transcribed by the Daily Mail.

"He (Origi) will certainly be here next summer, whether he’ll be here in January is something there’s been discussions but there’s nothing to report on,’ said Rodgers. "The agreement is with Lille for him to stay there and we’ll see how that works. But if not we’ll work with what we’ve got."

19-year-old Origi joined Liverpool from Lille last summer in a £10m deal, but was immediately loaned back to the Ligue 1 side to continue his development.
