Tottenham Hotspur media round-up: Exit for Paulinho reportedly moving closer

A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Daily Mail has reported that Juventus and AC Milan are battling to sign Tottenham midfielder Paulinho.

The paper claims that Juventus are interested in a permanent deal, while Milan only want him on a temporary basis.

Paulinho has struggled to have a big impact under Mauricio Pochettino this season.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier has warned the side about the threat posed by Danny Ings.

Ings, a striker for Burnley, is likely to line up against Spurs at White Hart Lane this evening as the sides meet for an FA Cup replay.

“Danny Ings is a massive threat and he's probably their most dangerous player,” Dier is quoted by the Herald.

Tottenham and Burnley couldn’t be separated after the first game, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

The Daily Mirror has quoted Tottenham striker Harry Kane on the current confidence within the squad.

Kane has also suggested it’s encouraging that so many younger players are coming through the ranks at Tottenham right now.

“It’s great for the country and great for us. Everybody is confident at the moment,” said the forward.

Kane is an example of a Tottenham player who progressed through the youth ranks, did the loan moves and has fought for his place in the team.
