Crystal Palace could reportedly add a number of players in Alan Pardew's first transfer window in charge.
Palace have reportedly backed new manager Alan Pardew with funds for his first transfer window at the club and he would allegedly like to see Taylor and Shelvey as part of his squad at Selhurst Park.
There is an understanding from the Eagles that they will need to add quality if they are to retain their Premier League status, and they have been linked with a number of ambitious targets during the window so far.
Taylor and Shelvey are two of Swansea's integral players, but Palace are still said to be hopeful that they will be able to land the duo.
The Welsh club are reportedly asking for £9 million for Shelvey, while Taylor is unlikely to come cheap either.
Swansea have just sold Wilfried Bony to Manchester City and, therefore, are under no financial pressure to cash-in on their assets.
