A round up of news stories this morning related to Manchester City.

Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho has piled the praise onto target Wilfried Bony in the Manchester Evening News.

Bony is expected to complete a move to City, which could be worth in the region of £25 million.

“He’s a great player. He’s scored a lot of goals while he’s been in England, and also against Manchester City,” he told the MEN.

The MEN also claims that Bony’s move to the Emirates has been held up by his participation in the African Cup of Nations.

The Daily Mail has linked Serie A giants Juventus with a move for Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic.

The Italian side reportedly wanted to sign the forward on a loan deal, which doesn’t fall in line with City’s interests.

The paper claims City aren’t interested in doing a deal until the summer and would push for a fee of around the £22 million mark.

Manuel Pellegrini has told the Daily Mail there is only one player better in the Premier League at the moment than Sergio Aguero; Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez.

The City boss has suggested that his fellow Chilean is showing a combination of top qualities on a match by match basis following his move to the Gunners from Barcelona last summer.
