Leicester duo ridicule Wood after celebration for the Under-21 side

Leicester City's squad members have been laughing at Chris Wood's celebration for the development side.

Leicester City forward Chris Wood has been subjected to ridicule on social media site Twitter from his teammates earlier today.

Wood scored for the squad's development side on Monday, chipping in a quite brilliant goal (which can be seen above from Leicester City's official Foxes Player site), but it was his ensuing celebration which saw him made the butt of the jokes at the King Power Stadium.

The powerful forward went with the knee slide and Ben Hamer and Liam Moore clearly felt that it was far too over-zealous a celebration to be performing in what is effectively a non-competitive match.

Wood's happiness at the strike is understandable, however, as it should have been one which will at least remind Nigel Pearson of his talents.

The Foxes are investing heavily in their strike force in January - with Andrej Kramaric already signed up - and Wood appears a long way down the pecking order.

The 23-year-old has only made nine appearances so far this season for the club and he will need some more moments of inspiration like this if he is to get back into the first team.
