Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn will have a lot on his mind ahead of this weekend’s game against Birmingham City.
Here are five talking points he’s likely to be mulling over with his staff.
Where’s our next win coming from?
Leeds haven’t won a game since they defeated Derby County at Elland Road at the back end of November. It’s important for the side to try and put three points on the board because that will help with morale.
That run of games without a win would have affected the team’s confidence. Redfearn has to find a way to pick it back up.
Do I keep Byram in new position?
The game against Bolton last weekend saw Sam Byram used in a more advanced role and he did well, giving Leeds more width and a fresh attacking threat. The temptation could be to move him back into a more conventional right-back slot.
Where are my new players coming from?
There’s just over two weeks left to run in the current transfer window and no sign of any concrete arrivals at Leeds. There are plenty of rumours doing the rounds, but the boss will more than likely be pressing the recruiters at the club for answers.
First team regular at the start of the season, he now finds himself in the under-21 side. Redfearn might make a check on Pearce’s morale, especially as he started in a heavy defeat for the under-21s yesterday.
