Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed one of their youngsters has returned following his loan spell in the Championship.
The 19-year-old centre-back had to wait patiently for his chance at the Championship side after spending six of the first eight games on the bench and the remaining two out of the match-day squad altogether.
However, the Tottenham youngster finally featured for Middlesbrough as a substitute in a 5-1 win against Millwall, where he played as a defensive midfielder.
He also appeared in a 2-0 defeat against Ipswich Town while his only 90-minute appearance came in a 0-0 draw with Blackburn Rovers shortly before his return to White Hart Lane.
Big things are expected of Veljkovic and it will be interesting to see what the second half of the current campaign has in store for him.
After all, Tottenham have a number of centre-backs and defensive midfield options at present and given his age another loan spell could make the most sense at this stage.
