Azpilicueta pulled up lame in a chase with Remy Cabella, appearing to hold his groin.
Azpilicueta has become Chelsea's first-choice left-back over the past 12 months and his absence would be unwelcome for Chelsea fans as well as Jose Mourinho.
A report in the International Business Times this week put Azpilicueta's recovery at around 10 days , ruling him out of the Premier League game against Sunderland and first-leg of Chelsea's League Cup semi-final with Liverpool.
However Chelsea fans will hope his recent post is a sign that he is making a swift recovery and will be back in action in the not-so-distant future. In the meanwhile summer signing Felipe Luis is set to deputise.
