The 21-year-old striker has joined the Championship club on a permanent deal.
Today has seen the deal for Benik Afobe to leave Arsenal for Wolverhampton Wanderers finally come to fruition, with the 21-year-old signing a three and a half year deal to join the Championship club from Arsenal.
The striker had been on loan at MK Dons for the majority of the season, where he had scored 19 goals so far this campaign.
With Afobe coming to the end of his contract at Arsenal it was the logical step from both club and player for him to move on at this juncture and play regular first-team football for Wolves.
But of course Afobe has been at Arsenal for a very long time. In fact, he first joined up with the club when he was six-years-old and has therefore had a 15 year relationship with Arsenal FC.
Despite being a player tipped for future glory a serious knee injury derailed his development and he has now had to seek a new path.
However it shows how respected and liked he was at Arsenal that several of the current crop have wished him well on Twitter - including Jack Wilshere:
Congratulations to my bro @Afobe_ on his move to wolves, you deserve it and good luck,go and rip it up mate— Daniel crowley (@danielcrowley24) January 14, 2015
