Arsenal have made an improved bid for the services of teenager Krystian Bielik, according to The Telegraph.

The 17-year-old talent has already been the subject of two unsuccessful bids from Arsenal, according to the same report, with the latest bid said to be in the region of £2.4 million.

The holding midfielder, who can also play at centre-half, has already told the Polish press, as reported by The Guardian earlier this week, that he had 'made a decision' on joining Arsenal after a tour of the facilities at London Colney.

Arsenal are in need of both cover in the holding midfield role and at the heart of defence so the talented Pole would be an excellent addition to the team.

The London Evening Standard are reporting that Arsenal have offered young striker Chuba Akpom a new deal to fend off interest from foreign parties.

The report claims that Feyenoord, FC Twente and Borussia Dortmund all want to sign Akpom, whose contract expires in the summer.

However, following the sale of Benik Afobe, Arsenal are said to not be willing to let their other young English goal-machine leave with a three-year deal on the table.
