Silvestri on Christmas schedule
Leeds United goalkeeper Marco Silvestri admits that the busy Christmas fixture schedule has been challenging.
Silvestri, who joined Leeds this summer and is playing his first season in English football, has been one of the Whites' better performers this campaign, but he is clearly still adapting to Championship life.
Things will not get any easier for the Italian, though, as he is due to be in action again this weekend when his side take on Birmingham City.
"It’s difficult because we’ve played a lot of matches in a few days. It’s hard," Silvestri said to the club's official site.
"But now we need to get some points. We need to see ourselves, we need to see the results. We need to win and after that I think the position is not a problem."
Maghoma on Gray
Sheffield Wednesday winger Jacques Maghoma is enjoying the open nature of Stuart Gray's approach at the club.
Maghoma, who has forced his way back into starting contention in recent times, believes that Gray's honest stance with the players helps get the best out of them.
“The gaffer is a really nice guy to speak to," he said to the Sheffield Star. "You can speak to him about anything. I think he understands me and I understand him.
“If I’m not playing at my best, he will tell me which is important. He gave me a kick up the backside."
Clough on Campbell-Ryce
Nigel Clough is happy to see that Sheffield United's Jamal Campbell-Ryce is starting to trouble the scoresheet.
The jinking winger has scored three goals in the Blades' last two matches and Clough feels that this scoring form is something that he needs to maintain.
“He’s one of a number of players we have here who can make the difference in a game, so we want him at the right end of the pitch as often as he can," he told the Sheffield Star.
