Stories about Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur all feature.

Focus falls on the FA Cup replays this evening, with sides fighting for a place in the fourth round of the competition.

The transfer window also goes on, with some extremely interesting transfer rumours emerging as sides all over the country look to improve their squads before the end of the month.

We’ve taken a look at the stories grabbing the headlines on this day last year.

‘United’s share price drops’

Manchester United’s share price dropped by £250 million in four weeks according to the Daily Mail.

United’s poor form under ex-manager David Moyes last season was cited as the main reason the share market lost confidence in United as a business.

‘Wenger on improving Wilshere’

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was quoted by the BBC, giving a glowing assessment of Gunners star Jack Wilshere.

The boss believed that Wilshere was getting back to somewhere near his best form following a victory over Aston Villa.

“He has got his change of pace back. He is not only a passer but he gives us an incision with the ball and for that you need to be at the top of your game physically,” Wenger is quoted by the BBC.

‘Holtby tipped to leave Spurs

The Daily Mirror tipped Lewis Holtby to leave Tottenham Hotspur for German side Hamburg.

The paper suggested that he was frustrated by an inability to replace Nabil Bentaleb in the team last season.
