Report: Queens Park Rangers interested in Paul-Jose M'Poku

Queens Park Rangers are said to be hoping to sign Paul-Jose M'Poku, who was once on Tottenham Hotspur's books.

The Daily Mail reports that Queens Park Rangers are interested in signing Standard Liege winger Paul-Jose M'Poku.

QPR are known to be shopping on a budget this January and Harry Redknapp has apparently seen M'Poku as a value buy for his side.

The 22-year-old Belgian winger, who was at Tottenham Hotspur as a trainee, has impressed since moving to back to his homeland in 2011, and it seems that he could be handed a second chance in English football.

Tricky and quick, M'Poku is a raw talent, but he can pose a threat to defences, and seeing as Standard do not have masses of financial strength, QPR seem to believe they may be able to force through a move.

M'Poku, who has been capped up to Under-21 level by his country, has made 22 appearances for Standard, scoring six times, and Redknapp reportedly believes he could add to his side's attacking quality.

At the moment, the R's are very reliant on Charlie Austin and it is thought that they will make moves for players who can take some of the scoring burden off their main striker.
