West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce will be frustrated that his team couldn’t get over the line against Everton when these sides first met in the FA Cup at Goodison Park.
A late equaliser from Everton forward Romelu Lukaku set up this replay and the Hammers will go in as favourites due to their superior league position and the fact they have home advantage.
It will be interesting to see how hard each team goes at the game considering it’s another fixture in an already busy schedule, but it’s a competition which presents a realistic chance of silverware for both teams.
West Ham have only scored two more goals than Everton in the league this season, but only one team has a worse defensive record than the Toffees, which will give Sam Allardyce’s side even more confidence.
The winners of the match this evening face either Bristol City or Doncaster Rovers who meet in another replay.
