Change your name in Minecraft from 4th February

Minecraft Review

The new name change function will be available next month.

Soon Minecraft players will be able to change their name.

The news comes from a Mojang announcement yesterday, with the developers stating that they "plan to make name changing available on February 4th."

Don't worry, it won't cost any money to do this on your account. Mojang said that all you need is a Mojang account, but, if you have an old Minecraft account you can migrate it over here.

Once the change goes live you will be able to change your name via your Mojang account once every 30 days, if you wish. Plus your old name won't be available for others to use for 37 days after you change it.

Any players you banned using a certain name will continue to be banned even if they change their name too.
