Italian legend Alessandro Del Piero has been talking about Lukas Podolski.
World Cup winner Alessandro Del Piero has praised another, Arsenal owned Lukas Podolski.
Del Piero was speaking to Sky Italia, reported by German TV channel Sport1, and spoke highly of his former opponent.
He said: "At the moment everyone looks in the Italian league to Lukas. I believe that he can show his qualities.
"Inter are a great team, Milan is a great city that lives for sport and off the field. There is always pressure because it is not going so well at Inter. But he can absolutely accomplish great things."
Podolski was on the losing team in 2006 as Del Piero scored to knock Germany out of the World Cup in the semi-finals.
The Arsenal forward is a big character who Inter manager Roberto Mancini hopes will help inspire his side to improve upon their ninth position in the Serie A table.
The 29-year-old has already started one game for Inter, and has motivation to prove Arsene Wenger wrong for failing to use him more.
He also will want to live up to his reputation as a global star, and ensure the fanfare and praise from the likes of Del Piero does not lead to fans being disappointed.
